     Girls Night Out

Kathy Smyth and ReImagined are sponsoring a “Girls Night Out” on Tuesday, December 3rd from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m..  See the Flyer attached for details.The following stores will be open and will be offering special sales, discounts, snacks, etc.:  Pippin Winery (10% discount), Southern Rose Cottage, Main Street Bargains, Living Water Coffee Shop, Angelia’s Florist, Depot Designs, Flowers by Michelle, Grammy’s Attic, Main Street Sweets, The Carriage House, 13 on 5th Antiques, ReImagined, DSA Graphics, Nails by Tara, The Trendsetter, Lox Hair Studio & Spa, Allen’s Dry Creek Market, The Rooster and the Rose.  You will want to join Kathy and shoppers for a Dutch Treat Dinner at Preston’s at 6:30 with door prize drawings at 7:00 p.m.   Whoopee – a Shopping Spree!!  

Calendar:
Monday, December 2nd – The annual Visit With Santa will be held at the Luverne Public Library from 3-6 p.m.  Santa will come in on the firetruck to visit with kids of all ages.  Stop by the Library and pick up a letter to Santa to bring back for the visit.  Each child will receive a small gift from Santa and the Friends of the Library will serve snacks.  A beautiful backdrop makes great Christmas pictures!
Tuesday, December 3rd  Ribbon Cutting at Pre’s Sweets n Things – corner of Hwy 331 and Hwy 29 – celebrate this wonderful new bakery – 10/30 a.m. . is the time for the ribbon cutting and Grand Opening.
Friday, December 6 – 12  noon – Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening for Southern Rose Cottage at 61 S. Forest Avenue.  Have you seen the beautiful windows……this building is once again glorious…..join Angel Strickland and her staff as they formally open the doors…..
Saturday, December 7th – Crenshaw County Chamber Annual Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting.  Parade begins at 5:30 p.m. – registration of floats is required for judging.  Call 335-4468 to register your float.  Hot chocolate will be sold in the Open Air Plaza at 15 S. Forest Ave, Ray Hilburn and the Crenshaw County Cattlemen’s Association will have rib-eye sandwiches for sale at Welch’s Station location; a Children’s movie will be shown after the parade in the Open Air Plaza. Santa pictures at the Pepsi Pavillion at 4 p.m. – $5 – Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be here to greet you!
Tuesday, December 10th – the Christmas Sweets and Treats event will be held at the Luverne Public Library from 6 – 8 p.m.  Join the Friends of the Library and enjoy delicious finger foods while supporting the Luverne Public Library.  Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Library or from Members of the Friends group.
Thursday, December 12, 2019 – The Friendly City Homecoming Christmas Show with Kevin Sport and Chris Smith….mark your calendar.  Place:  LUMC DEI Center…Time:  6-8 p.m. This is a dinner theater event, catered by The Old Barn Restaurant…..tickets $25 per person for dinner and show….tickets available at First Citizens Bank or call 334-300-7795 for reservations.  Call early to get your tickets…..this is a very special production.    Produced by Sessa Productions, Lisa S. Thursday, December 12 – Ribbon Cutting at Norma Helen’s Deli – 4 p.m. – if you have not had lunch at Norma Helen’s, you are missing a treat!
