PAPA’S PLACE – in Brantley – first load of Christmas Trees unloaded today!!  Be sure to stop by and pick out your fresh Christmas Tree while supplies last.
CALENDAR:  Chamber of Commerce Christmas Tree Lighting will be Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 6 p.m. in the Pepsi Pavilion, downtown Luverne.  Once again, we will share the Christmas spirit with children singing, decorating the tree, bands playing and hot chocolate and Sister Schubert cinnamon rolls for a treat.  Come welcome in the Christmas season!  
Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade – Saturday, December 1st.  The parade will start at 11 a.m. from the Old Armory at 6th St. and Franklin.  Lineup begins 9-9:30 a.m.  We hope you are planning to enter the parade with a float, car, truck, walking group or horse & Buggy……Please follow the instructions of the Parade Marshalls at the lineup site as they turn chaos into a wonderful welcome to the Christmas season.  Please call the Chamber office at 334-335-4468 to register your parade entry or respond to this email with the name of your group and a phone number for reference.  We are excited to host this annual event.  Santa & Mrs. Claus will be at the Pepsi Pavilion beginning at 9:30 a.m. on parade day  for pictures – cost $5.Local stores will be open for your shopping pleasure and we earnestly hope you will “shop ’til you drop” in Luverne that day!!!  Remember, local stores are owned by your friends, relatives and local people……..your shopping dollars are very important to them……..forget your “list” and see what you can find in your Hometown to complete your shopping…….. SHOPPING CAN BE FUN !!

The Friendly City Homecoming Christmas Show – Saturday, December 1, 2018 – 6 p.m. at the DEI Center at the Luverne United Methodist Church.  Sponsored by the Luverne Rotary Club and hosted by Nashville Singer/songwriter Kevin Sport, this event will also feature local talent.  Tickets are $10.  Contact a Rotary Club member for tickets or message on Facebook.

Three In One Ministries and Living Water Coffee Shop schedule of events……

Nov 24- we will be putting up our Christmas tree in the shop, and all kids are invited to come by and help us decorate it. We’ll also have Christmas color sheets they can take home, color and bring back for us to display if they’d like.

Nov 25 – Three in One Biker Church at 6 – special guest Dwight Haynes, chalk talk artistNov 29 – we will have our window decorated for the contest downtown- come by and see how it looks!                                                  **************

Make and Take Gingerbread House

 LBW Community College- Luverne Center is offering a one-day “Make and Take Gingerbread House” course with instructor Jackie Sport. This class is for ages 4-12 and a parent or guardian must accompany the child. The class will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018,  1 – 3 p.m. in the drill hall area of the Luverne Center.

 Participants will decorate their house as they wish. Includes tray for building house on for transporting it home. Candies may vary according to the kit chosen.Space is limited. The course fee is $25 and this includes a $5 supply fee. Registration deadline is Nov. 30, 2018. Participants may register in person in the Student Services office Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. or Friday, 8 a.m. – Noon. For more information, call (334) 335-2187 ext. 7094 or email lelliott@lbwcc.edu.
