In the next day or two, Chamber Board members will be bringing a bag and registration forms for our Christmas SHOP LOCAL PROMOTION.  Shoppers  in your store (16 and over) can register once a day for a gift certificate beginning Friday, November 30th through December 11th.  We will then ask you to draw out a winner on December 12th and the Chamber Board will pick up the winning names and have another drawing for 11 gift certificates.  We will further explain later.  
In the meantime, we hope you can have sales and promotions in your stores to entice more shopping.  The Chamber will encourage SHOPPING LOCAL through newsletters during the two week period.  
If you should choose not to participate in this promotion (no cost to you except a little counter space), just let our members know.  
Since the parade has been changed to Saturday, December 8th, you have a chance to have sales or promotions on that day also with the expanded crowds,  and if you will send information to the Chamber office, we will be sure to promote your special sales.  
Thanks for participating……..there are approximately 35 locations where people can register – a flyer will be distributed for your door identifying you as a participating merchant.
